Backend

Public Hapi API. It checks JWTs, booklet ownership, and public links, then proxies chat to the chat engine. It does not call Bedrock or OpenSearch for conversation.

npm install
npm start
npm test

Copy .env.example to .env. CHAT_ENGINE_URL should be http://127.0.0.1:3001 on the same machine. See deploy/README.md for the server process layout.

Owner routes live under /api/admin/. Public conversation routes live under /api/public/. The older /api/booklets/upload and /api/voice/token routes stay as they are.
