EventBuzz WhatsApp Concierge Service

Hapi webhook server + BullMQ workers for the virtual concierge. Uses one MongoDB connection via ../backend/src/config/database (do not add a separate mongoose dependency in chatbot).

Run locally

  1. Start Redis and MongoDB (same MONGODB_URI as backend). DigitalOcean Managed Redis needs TLS — the app enables it automatically for *.ondigitalocean.com / port 25061, or set REDIS_TLS=true / use rediss:// in REDIS_URL.
  2. Copy env from backend/.env and chatbot/.env.example.
  3. One terminal — npm run dev starts the API (port 3020), ingest, and inbound workers together (reloads on file changes). Use Ctrl+C to stop all.
  4. Optional — run only one process: npm run dev:server, npm run dev:ingest, or npm run dev:inbound.
  5. Optional — purge scheduler: npm run dev:purge (normally not needed locally).
  6. Point Meta webhook to https://<host>/webhook/whatsapp.

Dashboard APIs live on the main backend (/api/concierge-bots).
